Pricing Consultant:
Role Objective:
The Pricing Consultant works in tandem with the Project Lead on client
engagements. They develop first-hand knowledge of critical pricing issues while
honing client-management and problem-solving skills. This position requires interaction with the
client users and management team to understand business needs and assist in
developing a project roadmap. This
individual will work on execution of the stated plan, tracking cost,
scheduling, as well as managing scope in order to ensure completion of the
project on-time and on-budget within acceptable quality standards. Strong analytic, project management and leadership
skills are necessary for success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct
interviews within the client organization.
- Use innovative
methods to conduct or gather research.
- Work with Project
Lead to develop client strategy and implementation plan.
- Identify, scope, and deliver
quantifiable business value that is consistent with the client's objectives.
- Responsible for
coordinator of a highly skilled project team and delivering current projects on
time and within budget while mitigated risk and issues.
- Communicate results/status orally and in writing to PfP team members and clients.
- Set expectations
and build relationships with senior management and all other key stakeholders.
- Assess clients'
needs for additional services and develop opportunities.
- Easily adapt to
situations and quickly develop solutions to unforeseen obstacles.
- Review customer
feedback and process execution in order to develop and implement changes to
improve project delivery.
- Exhibit
customer advocacy while understanding and working within guidelines.
- Build and tune a
project methodology that can deliver scope, at desired level of quality, within
project timelines and budget.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Minimum 4-year degree in business administration or similar.
- Graduate degree,
preferably MBA is a strong plus.
- Previous pricing
or general consulting experience a plus, but not required.
- Excellent
communication skills.
- Strong
leadership, initiative and follow-up skills.
- Strong analytic
skills.
- Ability to
introduce change and drive those initiatives to completion.
- Exceptional consulting and client management skills,
including pre-sales work, presentations, project planning, and managing client
expectations. The right candidate must possess experience building client
relationships, particularly at the stakeholder and management level.
- Must enjoy
working in a team environment.
- Exceptional
time-management skills and attention to details.
- Ability to
manage multiple activities with various deadlines.
- Independent
self-starter, who is both ambitious and selfless and able to work in an
entrepreneurial environment.
- Desire to travel
which may include international travel.
