Lead Consultant

Role Objective:
Position requires a highly-motivated individual to support our consulting practice of price management as a leader of the organization

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualified candidates will demonstrate exceptional independent performance and creativity. Candidate must grasp our service offerings and corporate philosophy, and make clear, logical presentations to facilitate sales and drive effective and successful client engagements.

This is a lead consultant position, requiring face-to-face meetings with prospective and active business clients. On a day-to-day basis, the lead consultant must be adept at driving the entire sales process, including critical client identification; prospecting; formally presenting; managing projects and maintaining relationships. This position will be a thought partner with the client and lead all client project related activities including proposal development, project scope, process development, data mining and variance analysis, baseline and target setting, performance reporting, business case for future engagements.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate mature, broad-level selling and account management skills as well as understanding of pricing optimization and price management solutions to maximize client value. In particular, he or she must be a superior business communicator and must be able to discover, articulate, and present value propositions sufficient to influence critical clients to engage our firm in a business relationship and exceed customer expectations throughout an engagement. Moreover, he or she must have significant success communicating with senior executives in a strategic role.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Masters, MBA, or secondary degree in business administration preferred
  • 10+ years practical business experience with exposure to price management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; follow-up skills; and formal presentation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to earn trust
  • Must be comfortable with prospecting, and able to create innovative ways to establish new business
  • Exceptional time-management skills
  • Adept in the use of Internet applications and MS Office
  • History of selling intangibles in a business-to-business environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and communicate the significant details at a strategic level
  • Track record of consistently meeting and exceeding objectives
